As the need to deliver high performing projects at a lowest cost with higher vendor profit increases, the Best Value Approach (BVA) is spreading throughout Europe. In the country of Poland, the non-profit organization, Best Value Procurement (BVP) Polska has recently been established. The goal of the organization is to educate, train and implement the best value approach. The founders Katarzyna Grala, Piotr Jaworski, Tomasz Latawiec, Tamara Małasiewicz, Michał Skorupski, Jarosław Wielopolski, and Paweł Zejer are committed to ensure Best Value is successful in Poland.
On April 6th and 7th an intense two-day training was held by the BVP foundation. At this meeting, first Best Value practitioners were certified in Poland. The training and certification was personally performed by the creator of the BVA, Dr. Dean Kashiwagi and Isaac Kashiwagi. It will be the first of many as the next training by the BVP foundation is tentatively being planned for October.
The BVP Polska Foundation is comprised of experts within a wide range of fields in order to apply the Best Value Approach throughout the entire supply chain from procurement, contract management, project management and risk management.
